Anker Power Bank

Anker Power Bank, 20,000mAh Travel Essential Portable Charger with Built-in USB-C Cable, 3-Port 87W Max Fast Charging Battery Pack, for MacBook, iPhone 16/15 Series, Samsung, Switch, and More
The pick

I keep a charger like this in my bag because I do not like thinking about battery life when I am out all day. This is the kind of power bank I would point to for someone who moves between work, the car, and a few different places in a week and wants one piece of gear that can handle a phone, a tablet, and the occasional laptop charge without turning into a mess of extra cords.

What makes it worth recommending is the built-in USB-C cable. That sounds like a small thing until you have dug through a backpack for a cable that was supposed to be there and is not. Having it attached means I am much more likely to actually use the battery when I need it, and that is the real value here. The three-port setup also gives it some flexibility, so I can top off more than one device without carrying a little box of adapters around with me. For travel, that matters. For everyday use, it matters even more.

The capacity is big enough that it feels useful instead of decorative. A smaller charger can save you in a pinch, but a 20,000mAh pack is the sort of thing you can plan around. It is the battery I would want for a long day away from home, a delayed trip, or a work bag that has to cover more than one device. The faster charging support is part of that story too. I do not want to wait around for a charger that barely keeps up, especially when I am trying to get a phone back up before I head back out.

Who this is for: people who travel light but still carry a few devices, people with a long commute, people who work off a phone more than they should, and anyone who gets annoyed by dead-battery anxiety in the middle of a busy day. It also makes sense for someone who wants one charger that can stay packed in a backpack instead of living on a counter at home. If your life runs on a single phone for short bursts and you are always near an outlet, this is probably more than you need. If you are away from home a lot, it starts to make a lot of sense.

The one thing I would change is the size and weight. A pack with this much capacity is never going to disappear in your hand, and this one is clearly built with usefulness first. That is fine, but it is still something you notice when you are carrying a slim bag or trying to keep your pocket load down. I would not call it bulky, just not featherlight. That is the tradeoff for having real backup power instead of a tiny emergency boost.

I also like that it feels like a single-purpose tool without being fussy. There is no learning curve to it. You charge it, pack it, and use the cable that is already attached when your phone needs a boost. The extra ports are there when you need them and out of the way when you do not. That is the kind of design that makes a product earn space in a bag instead of getting left at home.

I think this makes the most sense for somebody who wants one solid portable charger and does not want to piece together a separate cable situation every time they leave the house. It is practical, easy to keep with you, and useful in exactly the ways a travel battery should be. If that is the problem you are trying to solve, this one lands in the right place.
